Many plastic surgery procedures are reconstructive in nature and are thus covered by your health insurance plan. If Dr. Tehrani determines during your initial consultation that your need is medically necessary, he will work closely with your insurance plan to provide medical documentation and obtain authorization for surgical services. Once surgical authorization is obtained from the insurance company, the surgery can be scheduled.
Please note that you remain responsible for any co-payments or deductibles your insurance company may require. Please also note that Dr. Tehrani is not a participant in any HMO insurance plans. Out of Network benefits are required for services and procedures at Aristocrat Plastic Surgery. A referral form is therefore not required from your Primary Care Provider (PCP) before your initial consultation.
Our staff deals with many insurance companies. Some companies offer up to six medical plans. Because many companies frequently change policies, it is sometimes difficult to accurately estimate our patient's insurance co-payment. Many insurance companies will not give out fees until after the treatment is completed. As a courtesy, we ask that you keep us informed of any change to your insurance. It is important that all information about you is current. All co-payments are payable when you check in at the front desk.
Private and Group Insurance: As a courtesy, we will file your insurance claims for you. Upon receipt of an insurance payment, any balance due will be billed to you. If you have deposited an excessive co-payment, it will be refunded to you.
Your insurance company will not cover any services it does not consider medically necessary. If that is the case, you will responsible for all fees associated with your care. The initial consultation fee is approximately $275. Payment is expected at the time of visit. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
At the end of your initial consultation, if you indicate that you are interested in having surgery, our office will be able to provide you with a price quotation for the surgery, including the surgeon's fees, hospital fees, and anesthesia fees (where applicable). Costs of surgery can vary considerably, depending on the type and length of the procedure. All fees for cosmetic surgery must be paid prior to surgery.
