Perlane

What is Perlane?

Perlane InjectionsPerlane is an FDA approved cosmetic injectable filler used to soften deep facial lines and wrinkles, augment the lips and contour the cheeks and chin. Perlane is made by the same company that produces Restylane, Perlane injections contain purified hyaluronic acid, a sugar found naturally in the body that works with collagen to keep the skin smooth and supple. It is a crystal-clear, non-animal, biodegradable gel that has no risk of allergy so does not require a pre-treatment skin test. With its unique ability to bind with water, Perlane continues to perform up to 60% longer than collagen.

Who is a candidate for Perlane?

Ideal candidates for Perlane injections are in good physical health and have realistic expectations for improving the appearance of facial wrinkles and lines, scars and skin depressions. Both men and women can benefit from the Perlane treatment and feel better and more confident about their appearance.

The Perlane Treatment

The Perlane treatment is an outpatient procedure and Perlane injections take about 15-30 minutes to perform. Anesthesia is not necessary with Perlane, but, if you desire, you can opt for a topical numbing cream that we can apply to the area before treatment. After the treatment, you will have absolutely no problem going back to your everyday duties.

Perlane results last 6-12 months depending on the individual and the extent of their wrinkles, although lip augmentation results might not last as long as other areas of the face.
