Arm Lift
Arm lift or brachioplasty is a procedure during which excess skin and fat are remove from the upper arms. After weight loss surgery or advancing age, there maybe a large amount of hanging skin from the upper arms resulting in a "bat-wing" appearance. This can be treated with a brachioplasty or arm lift that will remove the excess skin and fat from this region. After brachioplasty the arms will appear more trim, firm and smooth.
It is not uncommon for women to have excess fat in the upper arm that is difficult to get rid of even with exercise. Furthermore, as one ages, the upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. The upper arm can be treated with just liposuction if the primary problem is excess fat, or, with a combination of liposuction and removal of excess skin if the skin is loose. The incision for removal and tightening of the skin can be hidden in the armpit if there is only a moderate amount of excess skin. If there is a significant amount of skin to remove, the incision is placed along the inner aspect of the arm to minimize the visibility. The scar will fade to some extent over 6 to 12 months.

Medial Thigh Lift
Medial thigh lift is a surgery that removes excess skin and fat from your inner thighs. The goal of the procedure is to improve the appearance of your inner thighs by removing the "dimpled look" and skin redundancy. The incision does leave a scar in the groin line, but it fades in time and can be hidden by a bathing suit.
A medial thigh lift usually lasts several hours and can be an outpatient procedure and rarely requires a short hospital stay. You may be given local or general anesthesia depending on the surgical plan you and Dr. Tehrani have developed. The surgery begins with an incision in the groin area, near the hip. After the incision is made, Dr. Tehrani separates the skin on your thigh from the fat and muscle below by pulling the flap of skin upwards. Then, Dr. Tehrani removes the excess skin and anchors the remaining skin back in place.
When the procedure is complete, Dr. Tehrani closes the incisions with small stitches and covers them with bandages. A small drainage tube may be inserted in your skin for several days to drain excess fluid from the surgery.

Lower Body Lift
Either with increasing age or significant weight loss there is often an excess of body skin and fatty tissue in the area of the back and abdomen (trunk), cases of mild excess may be treated appropriately by procedures such as a tummy tuck or liposuction. However, in situations where there is significant excess, especially where the excess is circular in nature involving the abdomen, hips, back, buttocks and outer thighs, a more extensive procedure is required. This procedure is called lower body lift and is like a face lift for the trunk.
Body lifts tighten loose, fallen skin and fat to obtain more youthful skin tone and natural contours. There is no other effective method to rejuvenate aged tissues of the body. Everyone ages and all tissues relax with time. Dr. Ted E. Lockwood coined the term "body lifts" in 1992. Dr. Kevin Tehrani has received special training from Dr. Ted E. Lockwood, the pioneer of the Lower Body Lift procedure. He is very well versed in this technique and is proud to be the first graduate offering this state-of-the-art procedure in the New York Tristate area.
