The number of cosmetic procedures both surgical and minimally-invasive, for a second year in a row, rose 5 percent to 13.8 million in 2011, according to the statistics by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. In addition, there was also a 5 percent rise for reconstructive plastic surgery procedures, up to 5.5 million in the last year.

Cosmetic surgical procedures increased by 2 percent, with nearly 1.6 million procedures in 2011. Breast augmentation is still the No. 1 cosmetic procedure, followed by nose reshaping and liposuction. Facelifts rose among the top five cosmetic surgical procedures for the first time since 2004, replacing tummy tucks. Here are the 5 most popular procedures:

Interestingly, says the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a procedure popular with men, chin augmentation, nearly doubled in 2011, with 21,000 procedures performed, up 71 percent. Lip augmentation also rose significantly – up 49 percent, with more than 25,000 procedures performed.
