Q&A: How Do I Get Rid of the Horizontal Crease Between my Eyes?

Aristocrat Plastic Surgery

“At the very top of my nose, between my eyes is a crease that appears as if my forehead is slipping down, which it probably is because when I put on a tight headband it lifts and softens. Would Botox help with this?”, asked a RealSelf user.

“Great question! First, you want to determine which facial expression results in the line across your nose -Look in the mirror frown or scowl (which brings brow in) and then wrinkle your nose… Are you able to identify the movement which is creating the crease? If it is the scowl this is your corrugator muscle, the muscle between your eyebrows and or if it is the scowl and the “wrinkling ” of your nose, this is most likely your corrugator muscle and your nasalis muscle. These facial muscles may be treated (relaxed) with Botox Cosmetic which will prevent the line from worsening and give you a more relaxed expression! Over time should you maintain the Botox the line may disappear.”, explained Aristocrat’s certified surgeon Dr. Kevin Tehrani, M.D., F.A.C.S.
